When pickleball plot twists become growth moments!

Wendi and Teammate with pickleball rackets and ball.

  1. Action clarifies what’s real.

You might expect one result, but when you try, reality steps in. Whether things go better, worse, or differently than you thought, you gain clarity about what actually works—and what doesn’t. That lived experience is gold. Hence back to the pickleball drills we go!!!

  2. Mismatch breeds growth.

When your expectations are higher than the outcome, it can feel disappointing and trust me I felt it after the tourney—but it’s also teaching me/you where the gap is. That’s the edge where learning lives. It’s where refinement, resilience, and even innovation are born.

  3. Trying creates embodied learning.

You’re not just thinking about it, you’re living it. AND I also know the feeling of being at a pickleball tourney! So whether it’s a skill, a relationship, or a new offering, something shifts in your body and mind when you act. That’s how learning deepens and becomes more intuitive.

  4. Courage muscles grow.

Each time you try, even if you fall short of your expectations, you’re building trust in yourself. I showed up for myself and that helps with self trust which is helping me to build a foundation for the next tourney.

  5. Surprises show the way.

Sometimes what we expect blocks us from what’s truly possible. But trying opens the door for surprises—new insights, opportunities, or connections that we couldn’t have planned for. I have plenty of new insights and after I had time to process the last place outcome, I knew that I needed this experience to come back even better next time!🙌

It’s all a learning process and part of the evolution of me!
