Getting More Grounded

As I mentioned, getting grounded is about bringing your energy fully into the present moment and into your body, which creates the foundation for hearing your inner voice more clearly.
Here are simple ways to begin:
1. Connect with the Earth daily
Your body and energy system are naturally designed to reset when you come into direct contact with the Earth. So go barefoot, sit or hug a tree while you imagine your energy merging with its roots or walk in nature (with no phone or rush!).
“I’m here, I’m grounded and I’m safe”
2. Use your Breath to Drop In
The breath is a bridge between your body and your spirit. When you’re anxious or distracted, your breath becomes shallow. Conscious breathing can instantly bring you into the now. Place your hand on you belly and inhale slowly for 4 ounce and then exhale for 6 while imaging roots growing from your feet into the earth with each breath.
“Where am I holding tension right now?”
3. Practice “Slow Presence”
Grounding happens in slowness. Rushing fuels the mind. Presence fuels the soul. Try eating your meal with full attention - like no tv (I just heard my hubby gasp from this idea 😂)
4. Grounding Visualization (Sonia Inspired)
a. Site or stand comfortably
b. Imagine a warm golden light above your head, your soul’s guidance.
c. Now, see that light gently move down into your body, slowly filling your chest, stomach, hips, legs and finally your feet.
d. From the soles of your feet, see energetic roots growing deep into the Earth.
e. Say “I am grounded. I am open. I am listening.”
f. Ask your inner voice “What do I need to know today”
5. Limit Overstimulation
Create intentional space, unplug (from that phone, social media, music on at all times- all the “noise”)
6. Be Kind to Your Body
Your body is the vessel through which your inner guidance flows. Nourish it, trust it and bring it into your spiritual practice. Drink water with intention. Stretch daily. Rest when you are tired, your soul often speaks through your body’s signals.
Grounding creates a “quite inner sanctuary” and the more you ground, the more you’ll feel subtle clarity, peace 🙏 and intuitive nudges. 💫
