Have you been feeling a little “off” lately? Maybe more tired than usual, restless, or sensing a big emotional release you can’t quite explain. If so, you’re not alone.

On September 7th, we experienced one of the most powerful Full Moon Eclipses of the year. Eclipses are often called cosmic resets, they dissolve what no longer serves us and clear space so something deeper, truer, and more aligned can take root. Sounds beautiful, right? But let’s be real: while they work their magic, eclipses can also stir up our emotions, disrupt our sleep, and leave us feeling like everything is shifting beneath our feet.

I felt it big time. Not only was this eclipse stirring things up, but it also happened to land during my “re-entry” week after vacation. My husband and I spent a week in the Catskills for our 20th wedding anniversary, where I woke up to the sound of hummingbirds, started my days slowly, and soaked in all things nature and wildlife. It was peaceful, grounding, and exactly what my soul needed. ✨

Then bam! I went straight from that into a full-court press of Zoom meetings and an overflowing inbox. Talk about whiplash! Between the eclipse energy and the sudden switch from nature’s pace to work’s pace, it felt like a double whammy.

But here’s the truth: eclipses don’t affect everyone the same way. Some people may feel them as a subtle nudge, others as a full-on push, and some may not notice until weeks later. Over the past week, I’ve heard from people who couldn’t sleep, others who felt drained, and still others who experienced big life shifts and breakthroughs. The Universe has a way of showing each of us exactly what we’re ready to see.

Spiritually, eclipses are turning points. A lunar eclipse (like the one we just had) often brings hidden truths into the light. It’s a time for endings, release, and letting go of old patterns we’ve outgrown. A solar eclipse, on the other hand, tends to plant seeds for new beginnings and fresh directions. Together, they act like a reset button for the soul, closing one chapter so another can begin.

That’s why eclipse seasons can feel so intense. They accelerate change. They don’t always wait for us to feel “ready.” Instead, they help us clear what we might otherwise hold onto for too long.

If you’ve been wondering whether the eclipse energy affected you, here are some common ways it can show up:

  • Emotionally: mood swings, irritability, or sudden tears. Old memories may resurface so they can finally be released. 😢

  • Physically: fatigue, disrupted sleep, or even bursts of restlessness that leave you pacing.

  • Spiritually: heightened intuition, moments of clarity, or sudden awareness of what no longer feels aligned.

None of this means something is “wrong.” It’s simply integration in your mind, body, and spirit recalibrating to the shifts happening around you.

Eclipses invite us to pause and listen more deeply. Instead of asking, “What’s wrong with me?” try sitting with these questions:

  • What am I ready to release so I can move forward lighter?- Where am I holding on out of fear instead of trust?- What shift is my soul quietly asking for right now?- What am I being shown that I can no longer ignore?

    • Take a few minutes to journal on one of these questions, or simply hold it in your heart and notice what answers bubble up in the days ahead.

    • If you’re still feeling a bit WOBBLY after the eclipse, here are some simple ways to help ground your energy and soften the edges of transition:

      • Nature Walks: Let the earth steady you. Even a 10-minute walk can reset your nervous system.

      • Journaling: Write out the emotions, worries, or old stories you’re ready to release.

      • Salt Bath: Soak in warm water with Epsom or sea salt to cleanse and calm your energy.

      • Heart Breathing: Place your hands over your heart, close your eyes, and take slow breaths while repeating, I am safe. I am supported. I am realigning.”

      • Reiki: Receiving Reiki or practicing self-Reiki can help clear lingering blocks and restore balance to your energy field.

These practices don’t have to be long or complicated. The key is simply creating space to let your system reset and realign.

As I moved through my own re-entry week, I realized the “wobbliness” I felt wasn’t failure; it was an invitation. An invitation to slow down, to notice where I was pushing too hard, and to remember that I don’t always have to control how everything unfolds.

This eclipse reminded me that growth isn’t always comfortable but it is always purposeful. And when we soften into the process instead of fighting it, we create space for the clarity and peace that’s waiting on the other side.

So if you’ve been feeling the shake-up, know you’re not alone. These cosmic resets are here to help us (individually and collectively) step into deeper truth. Even when it feels messy or uncertain, trust that something greater is unfolding beneath the surface.

We’re all walking this path together; releasing, growing, and realigning. One breath, one step, one moon cycle at a time. ✨
