When a Handwritten Note reminded me that Time is Sacred

Handwritten note from my grandmother held in hands outdoors, featuring the powerful message: 'What I do today is very important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.'

A couple of weeks ago, while I was traveling in Phoenix, something unexpected resurfaced in my Facebook memories. It was a handwritten note from my grandmother around the time of her funeral. As I went down the googles it appears she must have copied this from someplace/someone. At that time, I had shared the photo and a few thoughts on FB. As I sat with it more during this trip, I realized the message was asking me to slow down and truly receive it in a new way.

Travel has always opened something within me. When I step outside of my normal routines and surroundings, I tend to hear myself more clearly. There is less noise, less autopilot and more space to notice what is really happening internally. That was part of what inspired my first blog about my spiritual travel routine with the small grounding practices and tools that help me stay connected to myself wherever I go. My oils, diffuser, journal, cards, crystals, mala beads and moments in nature are not just “things” I bring with me. They are reminders to pause, reflect, and stay intentional with my energy.

This trip went deeper than routines as I explored Phoenix and Sedona. I spent time in nature, connected with incredible people, and allowed myself space to simply be present and what I found myself reflecting more on was my life. How quickly time moves, what feels aligned and what no longer does along with how I wish to spend my days and life moving forward.

Back the note, the words were simple, direct, and powerful:

“What I do today is very important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.”

Time is sacred. I could feel this in my body, not from a place of pressure or urgency, but from awareness.

Every day, we are trading a piece of our life for something. Our energy. Our attention. Our thoughts. Our work. Our relationships. Our habits.

And at some point, many of us begin to ask deeper questions:

  • Is this how I want to live?

  • Does this feel meaningful?

  • Am I honoring myself?

  • Am I listening to what my soul has been trying to tell me?

These are the conversations I find myself having more and more lately, not only within myself, but with the women coming into my world.

So many are standing at a threshold right now. They know something is shifting internally, even if they cannot fully explain it yet. Often, they are feeling disconnected from themselves, uncertain about their next step, or aware that the life they’ve been living no longer fits. They are craving clarity, alignment, peace, purpose and permission to trust themselves again.

This is exactly why I do what I do with Intuitive Coaching.

I don't have all the answers for someone else, but I know the power of creating space to truly listen. Listen to your intuition, your inner wisdom, your body, your emotions and the deeper truth that often gets buried under expectations, responsibilities, and noise. Sometimes what people need most is not another strategy. They need space to reconnect to themselves.

That handwritten note from my grandmother reminded me that our days are sacred. That how we spend them matters and that we always have the opportunity to choose differently, align more deeply, and create a life that feels more, just more magical and alive!

Maybe that is what this season has been about for me too! Not trying to rush and know all the answers but becoming more intentional with the life I am creating one day at a time. PRESENCE as been my mantra. Just today and not thinking about tomorrow (and it’s been challenging at the same time).

If you are in a season of reflection, transition or inner questioning, know that you do not have to navigate it alone. My intuitive coaching sessions are designed to help you reconnect with yourself, gain clarity and move forward in a way that feels aligned with who you truly are becoming. ✨

If this resonates with you, I’d love to chat.
